While in Bristol, we visited the S.S. Great Britain. The Great Britain was the first iron steamer to cross the Atlantic. The ship is huge and the museum is well done. A good illustration of life aboard a ship in the early 1800s. I recommend First Class. Continue reading

On Tuesday I visited St Mary’s. St. Mary’s is the official parish church of the university and clearly has a very long history. For an extra 4 pounds you can climb the tower and get a great view of the city and the surrounding area. Continue reading
There’s an open air market next to the bus station in Oxford. They were just setting up while I was waiting for the bus. There was an amazing assortment of products available from this market. Everything from farm produce to hardware. Continue reading
