Here’s a tip. I was having trouble with pages loading slowly or hanging on s7.addthis.com. It appears that this is the provider of the social media buttons on may websites. I installed the AdBlock Plus extension for Chrome from the Play store and turned off social media buttons. The problem seems to have gone away.
Here’s the downside. When this is loaded and turned on some sites, such as this blog, don’t load correctly and may not load at all. I recommend installing it and only enabling it if you’re having trouble with a site (or disabling it if you’re having trouble with a site).
The real problem is that s7.addthis.com doesn’t seem to have the capacity to serve all of the sites that it seems to be serving. That’s a more difficult problem to fix.
It shouldn’t be this hard.
