Yesterday morning I hiked to the local shopping mall to pick up a few things. I got rained on a bit along the way but it wasn’t bad. It gave me a chance to check out just how waterproof my Scottevest jacket is. It is.
In the afternoon, I hiked south toward Iffley then across to Cowley Road and up to South Park in Headington. Mostly it was through neighborhoods that were different, but not dramatically different, from what I know at home. The building styles were certainly different, taking up less space and often sharing walls. The “habits” of different people were familiar; some houses were immaculate, some were a bit trashed. Humans, I guess.
Ate dinner at Kazbar again. The waitresses are very attractive there and the food’s good, too. It was very busy.
