The signs raise a collection of interesting questions. For example, what exactly does it mean to be a licensed adult shop? Do you have to pass some sort of test; kind of like a driving test? If it’s a written test, what kinds of questions do they ask? If a skills test, what are they looking for? Maybe it’s really intellectual property related and this really means that the IP is licensed. If so, haven’t those patents expired long ago and was there really no prior art? In either case, there’s the much deeper and more profound question; which is better a licensed or an unlicensed adult shop?
Then there’s the question of a free gift with every purchase. In a related industry this might be less than desirable. How is this offer working for this establishment?
